Located on the harbour slipway, the Welly Boot Garden in St Monans is pretty neat. Hundreds of pairs of wellies are filled with beautiful, bright flowers turning an otherwise drab slipway into a local landmark. Another landmark worth checking out is the windmill, located a few hundred yards east along the Fife Coastal Path. Standing tall above the coastline, it serves as a reminder of a past industry: salt production.
Just below, looking unused and abandoned is an outdoor swimming pool. No longer maintained by the council, the public are warned they swim at their own risk. I loved how still and reflective the water was in comparison to the sea.
